~Giovanna Adams ~ Faeries of Color~ Faerie Artist Giovanna Adams created her “Faeries of Color” series to brighten up an often pale vision of the mysterious world of the fey. Her faeries convey a message of cultural uniqueness and the beauty that we all possess within our own skin. It was while attending The Colorado Institute of Art in the early 1990's that she was exposed to the early works of Charles de Lint and the paintings of Brian Froud both of which she considers a great influence in her art today. Working most often in watercolor, Giovanna weaves her faeries with the hope of intriguing the imagination and creating worlds that touch the boundaries between fantasy and reality.
