Dauenhauer, Charity

Fairy and fantasy artist Charity Dauenhauer started out her life in the field of construction with her father. In her twenties, she received her certified building contractors license and shortly after, bought her fathers business. She was 13 years dedicated to construction when her husband took notice to her once old but newly found hobby... drawing! But this time she chose to teach herself watercolor after she would come home from work. Her husband then said to her, “ I think I could sell your art, how about I give it a try?”Charity humbly chuckled and gave him the okay, not realizing that this would be her new beginning of an old childhood dream that she never thought would happen.
Then to Charity’s surprise, her art prints began to sell right away! With the inspiration from others admiring her artwork, she wanted to take her art another step further. She then began to put together a body of artwork to share on her very own web-site at: www.Fairydustimages.com.

Still working in construction, her vision of becoming a fairy and fantasy artist burned in her heart. She would find herself thinking of her next painting and could feel her hand gracing over her painting within her imagination while she was at work stuccoing.
Then, with construction fading out, her art career was zooming in! Charity then took a leap of faith, and became a professional artist for the past 3 years creating a beautiful world of fantasy art from her art studio in Hudson, Florida. Since then, She had participated in many art shows where judges found interest in her art, making her an award winning artist!

When asked about why she chose to pursue an art career over construction, Charity had this to say...
“Drawing was a very natural thing for me to do since I was a child. I never knew that one day I would become an artist. I just never consider it as a way to make a living. So, I pursued a career in construction. Then the mustard seed that was planted in my heart years ago began to grow and I began to water it because it made me feel good to see others admire my artwork and that seed started growing bigger and bigger, where I had to let go of construction and have faith in my new dream. I never felt like I chose to do my art... I felt lead too! It kinda’ just fell into place that way."
