Dittmann, Anna

"Hi there! I’m a 20-year-old year illustrator who grew up in San Francisco and moved to Georgia to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I have an unhealthy obsession with drawing fanciful portraits." - Anna Dittmann

As a child, her first canvases were the walls of her bedroom and she stated it’s been a strange, fantastic ride ever since. Anna is an illustrator with a passion for enigmatic portraiture. She began taking painting more seriously when she discovered Photoshop around age 13, saying, "A lot has changed since then, but I still have that childlike excitement every time I see and create art." She eventually moved to Georgia to study at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and is currently working on her BFA in Illustration.

Anna shares a love of nature, biology, and portraiture which are recurring themes throughout her work. Ethereal and atmospheric moods have always appealed to her because of the sense of mystery they evoke, so she tends to create soft pieces with a combination of graphic and realistic elements. "My inspiration comes from organic natural elements, mythology and history, movement and texture, lyrics and melodies, expressions, color variations, pretty much anything which makes me want to grab my tablet and paint!"
