Dillman, Meredith

Meredith Dillman has been drawing fairies and fantasy themes since an early age. She read many fantasy books and began creating her own characters and writing stories about them. When she discovered both Pre-Raphaelite painters and anime when she was a teenager, she knew that she had to create her own paintings and comics. These continue to be a great inspiration to her as she creates new illustrations. She began using watercolors in college and was quickly hooked on the medium, which continues to be her favorite. Meredith studied art and illustration at Minnesota State University Moorhead and has since had her art published in a number of fairy art books and produced as collectibles.
Painting fantasy allows her the freedom to paint anything in world with a dreamlike quality, more beautiful than it is, in almost any color possible. As well fairies, Meredith loves finding inspiration in fairy tales, mythology and art history and nature.

Her work has been published in RPG games and licensed for products and collectables. She recently illustrated the book Watercolor Made Easy: Fairies and Fantasy from Walter Foster.
